About the Role:
WE SUPPORT YOU LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated male Direct Support Professional to join our team in Oak Ridge, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Foster independence, dignity, and community inclusion for all individuals served
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
